Tommy Sampson who most know as Coach T., played high school ball at Mather High School graduating in 2004. His collegiate career was shortened when he suffered an injury that would keep him from playing at a high level and making the tough decision to step away.
In 2021 Coach T started TS Basketball Skills Training. In just a couple of years he was able to turn his company into one of the top programs in the Northern Chicagoland earning him Trainer of The Year in 2023. This year he was named one of the top 20 Player Development coaches in Illinois. Currently Tommy travels and works with some of the most elite camps, showcases, AAU programs, and players in the country.
Tommy is the Head Assistant Varsity Coach and Head JV Coach at Schaumburg High School. He was named as one of the top 20 assistant coaches in Illinois for the 2025-2026 season. Coach T. is all about developing players, building confidence, mental and physical toughness, and teaching life lessons on and off the court.
